Other names: Rocky Mountain Maple, Douglas Maple
Mountain Maple is a small tree or shrub that can grow upwards of 30 feet in height. Mountain Maple prefers moist but well drained sites often found in sandy, gravelly soils. Mountain Maple also grows in fairly dry sites along forest edges and avalanche chutes. Mountain Maple makes a nice shrub or small tree with nice green leaves that change to yellow/orange or even crimson in the fall. Mountain Maple makes an interesting substitute for Vine Maple in dryer, colder climates. Please contact us for prices and availability.
