Red Alder grows upward of 80 feet in height and is an important tree along streambanks and unstable hillsides.  Red Alder prefers moist streambanks and forests and often forms dense, pure stands is prefered habitats.  With its moisture loving, extensive root systems, Red Alder is a great choice for streambank erosion control.  Red Alder also is excellent as a nitrogen fixing plant and can be used in poor soils.  Please contact us for availability and pricing.
