Arctostaphylos columbiana (Hairy Manzanita)

Hard to find evergreen shrub

Hairy Manzanita is a very attractive plant with redish brown smooth bark on twisting branches that reach nearly nine feet in height.  It will often spread out wider than it is tall so be sure to give it enough room.  It is evergreen with pinkish bell shaped flowers and brown colored "berries".  Hairy Manzanita grows best in an area with full sun and very well draining soils.  It is very drought tolerant so be sure not to overwater once it is established.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
