Lonicera involucrate (Black Twinberry)

Other names: Bearberry honeysuckle

Black twinberry is a farily fast growing shrub reaching upwards of nine feet in height.  It prefers a sunny spot, but will grow very well in partial shade.  Black twinberry is generally considered a wetlands species, so it prefers moist soils.  Regular garden watering will work fine, but this shrub will never be drought tolerant.  The yellow flowers and distinctive "twin" berries add interest through spring and summer.  Works well as a hedge.  Please contact us for pricing and availability.
