Attractive native berry
Thimbleberry is a thicket forming edible berry that can achieve heights of nine feet. It can be found in open areas with full sun and shady woodlands. It prefers a rich, moist soil but can tolerate fairly dry conditions also. Thimbleberry has a large white flower, often in a cluster at the end of a branch. The red berries are a soft and edible, ranging in flavor, but generally most are tasty. The large leaves also make this an excellent foliage plant for gardens, although it will spread via rhizomes so be sure you leave it room to roam. Please contact us for pricing and availability.
